FAQ

Wedding Stationery Maker FAQ

Essential answers about designs, guest lists, local saving, purchases, and print-ready files.

Getting started

What is WedPapers?

WedPapers is a browser-based maker for personalized wedding reception stationery. Choose a built-in design or upload your own artwork, add the details that change, review the result, and export files ready for printing.

What stationery pieces can I make?

You can make place cards, escort cards, a seating chart, menu cards, table numbers, and a welcome sign.

Can I make only one stationery piece?

Yes. Start with and unlock only the piece you need. Bundles are available if you want several pieces.

What is the difference between escort cards and place cards?

Escort cards are usually collected near the entrance and tell guests which table to find. Place cards sit at the table and identify each guest's seat. Depending on your reception plan, you may use either or both.

Designs and guest information

Can I use my own Canva, Etsy, or designer artwork?

Yes. Upload artwork you created, purchased, or received from a designer, provided you have permission to use it. WedPapers uses it as the visual base for the stationery details you add.

What artwork file types can I upload?

WedPapers accepts PNG and JPG images up to 20 MiB. For the clearest print result, use high-resolution artwork sized to the stationery piece you selected.

How can I add my guest list?

Enter guests manually or upload a CSV or XLSX spreadsheet. Review the imported rows before creating proofs or print-ready files.

What guest information can I include?

Names and table assignments drive most personalized pieces. You can also keep meal choices, dietary and allergy notes, and party or group information; the details shown depend on the stationery piece and layout you choose.

Saving and recovery

Will my work be saved?

Your guest list, uploaded artwork, and edits are saved in the current browser on this device. Do not clear this browser's data while you are still working, and keep a copy of your guest spreadsheet and original artwork.

Can I continue on another device or browser?

No. WedPapers does not currently provide accounts, cloud saving, or cross-device synchronization. Work saved in one browser will not appear in another browser or on another device.

Can I recover my purchase if my saved work is lost?

Yes. Contact support with your checkout email and Creem order ID. Purchase access can be restored, but your saved project cannot. You will need to recreate your guest list, uploaded artwork, and edits in this browser.

Files and printing

Can I preview before paying?

Yes. You can make and review your stationery for free, then download a watermarked proof PDF to check the content and layout before purchasing print-ready files.

What is the difference between a proof and a paid export?

A proof is a free, watermarked PDF for checking your work and is not intended for final printing. A paid export removes the watermark and provides the print-ready files for the stationery piece you unlocked.

Why does my exported PDF look different from the preview?

That difference is intentional. The dashed lines in the maker are screen-only guides. The blue dashed line shows the bleed boundary, while the gold dashed line shows the trim line. Other guides may mark a safe area or fold. They disappear from the PDF so they are not printed across your stationery.

1 · In the preview

Guides help you place artwork; crop marks show where the finished edges will be cut.

2 · In the PDF

The helper lines are gone. Short black crop marks show the finished edges on print-at-home sheets.

3 · After trimming

The bleed is trimmed away, leaving the intended finished size without an accidental white edge.

Bleed is extra background artwork beyond the finished edge. It gives the cutter a small margin for normal paper movement; keep text and other important details inside the trim and safe areas.

How to cut with crop marks

  1. Print at Actual size or 100% scale and make one test print first.
  2. Align a ruler or paper trimmer with two matching crop marks that define the same edge.
  3. Cut along the imaginary line between those marks, then repeat for the other edges. The small gap between a mark and the artwork is intentional.

If you selected Avery or another pre-cut paper setup, follow that paper's edges or perforations instead of looking for crop marks.

What files will I receive?

Paid exports include print-ready PDF files for each stationery piece you unlocked.

Does WedPapers print or ship physical stationery?

No. WedPapers provides digital files only. You handle printing at home or with the print provider of your choice.

Can I print at home or use a professional print shop?

Yes. Choose the available print-at-home, supported Avery or pre-cut paper, or print-shop setup that matches your stationery piece. Always review the PDF and make a test print before producing the full quantity.

Payment and support

What does a paid unlock include, and can I export again?

A paid unlock is a one-time purchase for the selected stationery piece or bundle. It includes every design and layout for each unlocked piece and support for your own artwork. Unlimited print-ready exports let you download again whenever names, tables, or other details change. No subscription is required.

What should I do if payment or export does not work?

Contact support@wedpapers.com with your checkout email, Creem order ID if available, browser, and a short description of the problem. Duplicate charges, inaccessible purchases, and unresolved technical issues can be reviewed under the Refund Policy.
